Research
My research investigates the mechanisms of lung regeneration in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Utilizing a 3D in-vitro model, we explore factors that govern tissue repair by analyzing the interaction between resident cells and the damaged extracellular matrix. Our primary objective is to understand the signaling pathways between Lung Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (LMSCs) and epithelial progenitor cells within the airway and alveolar compartments, with the goal of developing strategies to optimize tissue regeneration.
