Research

For my PhD project, I’m focusing on the molecular and cellular differences of the airway epithelium between healthy controls and asthmatic patients. By integrating bulk, single-cell transcriptome and epigenetic data, we aim to identify key pathogenic features of the bronchial epithelial cell subpopulations in asthma. To validate our findings and to investigate them deeper, I am also performing in vitro cultures of primary bronchial epithelial cells, using air-liquid interface (ALI) models, or 3D organoid models upon various perturbations.
