Research

As a Biomedical Research student at the Hanze Hogeschool Groningen I have always found interest in medical biology. To obtain my Bacherlor’s Degree of Applied Sciences, I am spending the year as part of the EXPIRE team, under supervision of Janette Burgess.

My research focuses on bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome (BOS), a form of chronic lung rejection after a lung transplantation. The aim of this project is finding novel biomarkers that can indicate a lung transplant recipient is developing BOS in an earlier stage.
