Research

Currently, Petra works as a research technician in the EXPIRE group. She joined the
programs of Principal Investigators Irene Heijink and Martijn Nawijn,
respectively the P4O2, and the discovAIR programs. The P4O2 program aims to
both prevent the progression of early-stage lung damage and reverse established
damage by stimulating repair. DiscovAIR is a program that focuses on the
creation of an atlas of the human lung, where we aim to identify the many
different cell types within the lungs, their characteristics, and their
interaction.
